Bridging global suppliers with local markets through OEM support

Working in the international aviation industry presents unique challenges. It’s not always cost-effective to launch support on every continent, but your customers travel the globe.

Building relationships with local representatives offers the best of both worlds – local support for your customers and cost-efficient, reliable expertise for your company.

Byron Aviation have built strong relationships with many Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and been handpicked by a number of these companies to provide local support.

Helping a major OEM avoid excessive air-freight

In a recent partnership, Byron Aviation supported an international OEM with repairs, warranty and replacement for their equipment in Australia. This partnership assisted the OEM in securing a large commercial airline contract for interior fixtures and fittings.

Byron Aviation worked with both the airline and the OEM to develop a bespoke solution. We offered local repairs and warranty support – ensuring the customer had great service and the OEM had protected revenue streams.

Without our support, the OEM planned to air-freight equipment back to the manufacturer for assessments, repair and replacement. This would have been a significant cost to the company and limited the profitability of even a large-scale contract like this.

Byron Aviation is an ideal partner for OEM’s as we offer certified manufacture, maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

Holding CASR Part 145 approval, we are capable of maintaining C Rating Aeronautical Products and C6 Equipment and Furnishings. This work is completed at our Sydney-based P145 workshop.

Our manufacturing capability upholds the highest standards – in accordance with AS1657 and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Better for you, easier for your customers

From expensive transport and logistics to long wait times for your customers, enforcing onshore repairs and maintenance comes with more than one risk factor.

Byron Aviation repair and maintain original equipment in accordance with approved design data. This protects the quality of your product while also shortening turnaround times by cutting out the need for transport.

Many major airlines are also introducing waste reduction targets and sustainability goals. Simple tasks, such as refurbishing interiors rather than replacing them, can go a long way to helping your customers fulfil these initiatives. Having a local representative can help you provide entire lifecycle service for your products and make repairs a lower cost, more realistic approach for your customer.
